The machinery that processes and regulates RNA involves some of the most essential genes we have. Yet the methods available to study it are slow, fragmented and demand large amounts of material, so most of these interactions have never been measured in real human samples.
That gap leaves many genetic changes hard to interpret and many disease drivers out of reach for today's medicines.
